Counting down to the abstract submission deadline, Friday, 25 September 2026, 23:59:59 (AoE).Privacy-preserving technologies have moved from theoretical constructions to systems that protect real users at scale. Their deployment continually opens new research problems across the full stack, spanning theoretical foundations, protocol design, and production systems. It also raises practical concerns such as efficiency, scalability, accountability, and usability. Many of these problems sit at the boundary between theory and practice, where neither community can make progress alone.
WPPT aims to bring together cryptographers, protocol designers, and practitioners working on privacy-preserving technologies, from foundational primitives to their deployment in real-world infrastructure.
Privacy is one of the four pillars of the Ethereum Foundation's CROPS agenda: censorship resistance, open source, privacy, and security. Under this agenda, privacy is treated as a load-bearing property of open, permissionless infrastructure rather than an optional feature.
WPPT grows out of this agenda, but we want to carry its momentum well beyond Ethereum. Privacy matters wherever data and computation meet, so the workshop reaches out to work across all settings, from blockchains and decentralized systems to the web, cloud, enterprise, and beyond. Our aim is to connect the researchers who design privacy-preserving primitives with the practitioners who deploy them. In doing so, we hope research is informed by real constraints and deployments benefit from the latest results.

WPPT 2026, as an Asiacrypt 2026 affiliated workshop, is held at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, Hong Kong.
The main Asiacrypt 2026 conference is held at the Sheraton Hong Kong Hotel & Towers in Tsim Sha Tsui. Logistics are shared with Asiacrypt 2026, so the main conference site carries the full details.
For directions, transport, and accommodation, see the Asiacrypt 2026 pages:
